Delasport has secured two Alberta supplier registrations, expanding its role in the province’s regulated iGaming market and increasing competition among technology providers.

The Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission lists Delasport Limited, operating as Delasport, as both an iGaming Critical Gaming Systems Provider and an iGaming Platform Provider. The registrations were recorded on September 17, 2026, and expire on August 12, 2027.

The registrations allow Delasport to supply technology to Alberta operators. They do not authorize the company to operate a consumer-facing gambling site.

What the registrations allow

The registrations give Delasport a route to supply Alberta operators with systems for player-account management, sportsbook operations and casino aggregation, according to Canada Gaming Review.

They do not make Delasport an operator. They also do not provide blanket approval for every product or customer deployment.

The distinction is important because supplier registration and operator authorization are separate steps. The Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission regulates the market, while the Alberta iGaming Corporation oversees market operations and commercial relationships with operators.

Why Alberta matters to suppliers

Alberta’s competitive regulated iGaming market opened on July 13, 2026. The framework was introduced as an alternative to unregulated online gambling and includes requirements for player protection, social responsibility, reporting and technology controls.

The market creates demand for systems that support:

  • Player registration and account management
  • Age, identity and location checks
  • Payments and sportsbook operations
  • Casino content and aggregation
  • Responsible-gambling controls

Alberta’s framework also includes provincewide self-exclusion, financial and time limits, gaming activity statements and intervention requirements for high-risk behaviour. Suppliers therefore compete on compliance capabilities as well as product range, according to Canada Gaming Review.

Delasport adds a second Canadian market

Delasport’s Alberta registration follows its presence in Ontario, where the company has supplied technology and managed services to regulated operators, according to Canada Gaming Review.

The Alberta registration gives Delasport access to a second provincial market in Canada. Its legal scope remains tied to the registered entity and the systems approved for each operator.

For operators, appearing on Alberta’s supplier register is only one part of the process. They must also confirm that a supplier’s platform, sportsbook, casino content, payment systems and critical gaming systems fit their approved architecture and comply with Alberta’s technical and player-protection rules.

What changes for Alberta players

There is no immediate consumer launch linked to the registrations. The development affects the supplier side of the market.

Any effect on players would depend on an Alberta operator adopting Delasport’s technology and receiving the approvals required to offer its services.

The registrations show that Alberta’s market is developing beyond operator entry. Competition is also forming among the companies that provide the account, betting, casino and compliance infrastructure behind regulated gambling sites.
