Montreal completed a perfect regular-season home record with a 44-24 Thanksgiving Day victory over the Saskatchewan Roughriders at Percival Molson Memorial Stadium on October 12, 2026.

Davis Alexander threw five touchdown passes as the Alouettes improved to 13-3 with two regular-season games remaining. The result gave Montreal only the second 9-0 regular-season home record in franchise history, according to the Canadian Football League.

Montreal has already secured first place in the East Division. Its home dominance now gives the Alouettes home-field advantage in the Eastern Final.

Alexander produces a career night

Alexander completed 26 of 33 passes for 403 yards and five touchdowns. It was the first five-touchdown game of his career.

  • 26 completions on 33 attempts
  • 403 passing yards
  • Five touchdown passes
  • Three touchdown throws of at least 45 yards

Alexander connected with Tyler Snead twice. Charleston Rambo and Tyson Philpot also caught touchdown passes. Jerreth Sterns led Montreal with 124 receiving yards.

Alexander also passed 5,000 yards for the season. Sportsnet, citing the Canadian Press, reported that he became only the second quarterback in Alouettes history to reach that mark, joining Anthony Calvillo.

Montreal breaks the game open

Saskatchewan stayed within one point early in the third quarter. Montreal then broke the game open with two long touchdown drives.

Alexander found Philpot for a 46-yard score. On the next possession, he hit Rambo for 51 yards. The Alouettes added another touchdown and two field goals.

Saskatchewan answered late through Kian Schaffer-Baker, but the deficit was already too large to overcome.

Pressure grows on Saskatchewan

The loss dropped Saskatchewan to 8-8 and extended its losing streak to four games. The Roughriders remain in a crowded Western Division playoff race with two regular-season games left.

The teams will meet again in Regina on October 17. Montreal has already secured first place in the East Division and will host the Eastern Final on November 7, according to the Canadian Press report carried by Sportsnet.

For Montreal, the home finale delivered more than a memorable individual performance. The Alouettes finished 9-0 at home and turned Percival Molson Memorial Stadium into a major advantage heading into the playoffs.
