ToonieBet has signed an exclusive sportsbook partnership with the Ottawa REDBLACKS. The agreement includes jersey branding, TD Place activations and fan events.

Newswire reported the agreement on August 26, 2026. ToonieBet’s logo will appear on all three REDBLACKS player jerseys. The company will also sponsor the TD Place Sideline Club, a field-level premium seating area.

The deal gives ToonieBet repeated exposure at one of Ottawa’s main sports venues while Ontario’s regulated betting market continues to expand.

What the agreement includes

  • Branding on all three REDBLACKS player jerseys.
  • Sponsorship of the TD Place Sideline Club.
  • Stadium signage, television visibility and social media integrations.
  • Three pregame street parties for REDBLACKS supporters.

The first highlighted home-game activation is scheduled for August 30, 2026, at TD Place in Ottawa. The companies also plan live entertainment, games and other fan activities around selected home games, according to Newswire.

Why the Ottawa deal matters

The partnership gives ToonieBet a local marketing platform beyond digital advertising. Jersey placement, stadium signage and pregame events connect the brand with a specific city and fan base.

That exposure comes as Ontario’s regulated market becomes more crowded. The iGaming Ontario operator directory listed 48 operators and 83 gaming websites on August 6, 2026. It listed ToonieBet under Canadix Limited for casino and sports betting.

The market generated about CA$653.8 million in betting-related gaming revenue during fiscal 2024-25. iGaming Ontario said the figure covers sports, esports, proposition and novelty betting, along with betting exchanges. It represents gaming revenue, not the total amount wagered.

Ontario rules remain unchanged

Canadix Limited operates ToonieBet. iGaming Ontario lists the company as an approved operator in the province. The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario is the provincial regulator, while iGaming Ontario manages commercial agreements with private operators.

  • Players must be at least 19 years old.
  • Players must be physically located in Ontario.
  • Operators must meet requirements for player protection, anti-money laundering controls, game integrity and responsible gambling.

The sponsorship does not change these requirements. It changes where ToonieBet appears and how it reaches sports audiences.

Broader reach creates compliance pressure

Sports partnerships can expose gambling brands to broad audiences, including people who cannot legally place bets. The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario prohibits advertising that targets minors. Its rules also restrict the use of athletes and other figures likely to appeal to minors, except when they promote responsible gambling practices.

The REDBLACKS’ street-party information says the events are open to all ages. Only people of legal drinking age may consume alcohol. The betting service remains restricted to eligible users in Ontario.

For ToonieBet, the agreement is a significant branding investment in a market with 83 regulated gaming websites. Its reach will also remain subject to Ontario’s advertising and player-protection rules.
