Ontario’s Regulated Betting Market Lists 49 Operators and 84 Websites
Ontario’s September 1 directory lists 49 contracted operators and 84 gaming websites, including 35 offering sports betting.
Ontario’s regulated iGaming directory lists 49 contracted operators and 84 gaming websites as of September 1, 2026. The roster covers casino, poker, bingo and sports betting products.
The figures show the scale of competition before the fall sports calendar. They refer to listed operators and websites, not necessarily separate companies or brands. The directory is maintained by iGaming Ontario.
Ontario’s September 1 listing includes 84 regulated gaming websites. Thirty-five carry a sports betting designation, meaning sports betting websites account for about 42% of the listed total.
Thirty-five websites offer sports betting
A count of entries marked Sports Betting in the September 1 directory produces 35 websites. The list includes Bet365, BetMGM Sportsbook, Caesars, DraftKings Sportsbook, FanDuel Sportsbook, Betano, BetRivers, TheScore Bet and the STX betting exchange.
- 49 contracted operators
- 84 listed gaming websites
- 35 websites marked as offering sports betting
The website count does not equal the number of companies. Some operators run more than one listed brand. Bally’s Canada, Canadix, ElectraWorks Maple and Score Media and Gaming each appear with multiple products. Other operators are listed only with casino products.
What the figures mean for players
The directory gives players a current view of regulated options, but the date matters. The 49-operator figure applies to the listing accurate on September 1, 2026. The total can change when companies enter or leave the market, or when operators add brands.
Ontario’s private operators must register with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and sign an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario before offering regulated products. The directory does not represent a single national licensing system.
The private-operator roster is separate from OLG.ca. Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation operates OLG.ca under the province’s conduct-and-manage framework. iGaming Ontario commercially manages the private-operator market.
Safeguards and self-exclusion
Players must be at least 19 and physically located in Ontario to use the regulated market. Sites must meet requirements covering player protection, identity controls, responsible gambling and anti-money-laundering compliance.
Ontario launched BetGuard on May 14, 2026. The centralized tool allows eligible users to opt out of all regulated online gambling platforms in the province, including OLG.ca, for selected periods.
The September directory shows a broad regulated gaming market, but it does not list 84 sportsbooks. It lists 84 gaming websites across several product categories, with 35 carrying a sports betting designation at the time of the update.
