Endorphina Wins Alberta Approval as iGaming Supplier Rules Take Effect
Endorphina can supply more than 200 casino games in Alberta, but operators must still meet the province’s separate licensing requirements.
Endorphina received approval on August 12, 2026, to supply online casino content in Alberta. The Prague-based company confirmed the registration on August 24, saying it can provide more than 200 games to the province’s newly regulated iGaming market, according to Canadian Gaming Business.
Endorphina’s registration opens access to Alberta operators, but it does not authorize the company to run a betting website or accept player wagers.
Supplier approval is not an operator licence
Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis lists Endorphina Limited as an iGaming critical gaming systems provider. The registration expires on August 12, 2027, according to the provincial registry information cited in the company’s market announcement.
Endorphina will not operate a consumer-facing gambling site in Alberta. Its registration allows licensed operators to integrate and offer its games, provided the content meets the province’s technical and regulatory requirements.
AGLC separates regulatory oversight from the commercial role of Alberta iGaming Corporation. Operators must register with AGLC and sign a commercial agreement with Alberta iGaming Corporation. Suppliers must meet AGLC’s registration and compliance standards.
Testing and security requirements raise the entry bar
AGLC’s supplier process includes due diligence, a compliance review, technology certification by an accredited testing facility and integration with Alberta’s centralized self-exclusion program.
The regulator’s standards also cover social responsibility, information technology and security. These requirements mean market access involves more than a commercial distribution agreement.
Suppliers must fit systems that protect player data, support regulatory reporting and allow operators to apply Alberta’s player-protection controls.
Ontario provides Endorphina’s Canadian base
Endorphina has supplied Ontario’s regulated market since April 2026. Its Alberta registration gives the company access to Canada’s second competitive provincial iGaming market.
Alberta opened to private operators on July 13, 2026. The expansion shows how gaming suppliers are following operators into the province as the market develops.
AGLC says the market includes dozens of registered operators and suppliers of goods and services. The regulator applies separate requirements to systems, platforms and gaming content.
What the approval means for Alberta players
- Endorphina’s games may become available through approved Alberta operators, but the registration does not create a new betting website.
- Operators remain responsible for player accounts, identity checks, geolocation, payments and responsible-gambling controls.
- Suppliers must meet AGLC’s technical, security and integration requirements before their content can be used in the regulated system.
For players, the approval could increase the range of casino content available through licensed operators. For Endorphina, it creates a new Ontario-Alberta growth route within Canada’s provincially regulated iGaming system.
The development also puts Alberta’s regulatory framework under greater practical scrutiny. More suppliers and operators will test whether the province can expand its market while maintaining technical controls and player protections.
